Fic Update

So I updated my profile regarding Standing Ground and never posted over here. Chapter 8 is almost done. Nothing will be posted until after the new year, but 8 will be up by the end of January. I know it's been a long wait and offer apologies.

I hit a giant roadblock with this story for months and lost the will to write. It's not an excuse but with RL becoming real difficult and tiring, it did nothing to help me get my muse back.

**ps-Like my 3rd NCIS:LA icon? I want one for Gibbs but...I think that would be a cop out *laughs*

So a couple of months ago, I went on another Transformers kick. I wanted to find some good, longer stories. Boy, did I succeed. So here and now I am going to rec this wonderful, brilliantly fantastically written story from over at

Masks by L. Mouse, has become my favoriteTransformers story every, and is one of my top five in favorite story/series. It is 65 chapters and counting and is almost at 500,000 words. It is character driven, has several well thought out plots, and great character and story arcs. The characters, more so the humans (the only TF I've ever seen our the movies, so I ddon't know most of the Bots well) are actually written in character. It's amazing!! And I'm picky when it comes to specifics and this story surpasses everything I could imagine.

This story has the perfect mix of world building, politics (always a hard one), plain old human problems, angst, drama, military situations, etc. And everything works, wonderfully. Please check this story out, you won't be dissapointed.

****Warning**** It has the obvious Threesome in it, and slash (bot relationships). It has an M rating for reference.

So yesterday I reread Quiet Comes the Dawn by Admrl. McGill over at It is a wonderful Harry Potter story that continues directly after the ending of Deathly Hallows. There are 10 chapters and though it hasn't been updated since 07' the author is back from a hiatus and is hoping to continue shortly.

It really is my all time favorite HP fic that I have ever read. And it is extremely well written. Go and check it out.

Another fic (series) this time are the wonderful HP stories written by Chelles over at They tell the story of James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, Lily and friends through Hogwarts. (Before Harry..)
Then continue on to James and Lily's untimely death, (Potter Legacy...)

And then at the end, the story from Remus and Sirius starting during book three, (Ties that Bind...)

All three are great prequels to the nooks we know, they just don't include details from DH.

I have fallen under the spell of the wonderful story Drummer by Lady Bluejay over at I loved the Prequel, but for some odd reason Drummer and the main characters Amroth and Devoran really, really intrigue me. She writes them so well.

I have literally reread it five times in the last week as I eagerly await chapter 9. I am in fact rereading it right now.^_^

In other news:

I have hit a big brick wall, in regards to Standing Ground. I have the outline for chapter 8 written, I have started writing the beginning. However that is it...I know what I want to write, I just can't seem to get over this brick wall long enough for all those little steps to come together and make it legible:(

I hopefully will have some long winded thing up by mid/end of July. Hopefully ::sheepish grin::

fic update

So you know how I said I would participate in the April thing-a-thon over at [ profile] ncis_shared. Well I never finshed my entry so, I didn't but I will probably finsih writing up my prompt and posting anyway.

Edit: I have absolutely no idea why half of this is bolded. It won't let me unbold it. Plus, I know I'm 19 but I adore Miley Cyrus and I love "The Climb". It helps that most of her stuff is country (which in the long run is why I adore her anyway).
sgpr_fan: (RJ/Casey)

General Disclaimer: I do not own Jungle Fury or Power Rangers.

AN: Sorry I took so long to update, guys. My muse wanted to get ahead in the plot without the build up behind it so I have been arguing with my muse (read: myself) for weeks. That and I struggled with this chapter several times scrapping previous versions before I settled on this one.

So for my apology, I give you a chapter solely devoted to Casey and RJ. Well, mostly anyway. You should all thank ChildofDarkness1988, my wonderful beta, who made this part enjoyable to read. Thank You!!

Especially since, unlike Casey, Swoop would have some idea about what was actually going on. )

So after the M*A*S*H Anniversery Special, TVLand aired a bunch of episodes. Of course it all reminded me of how much I absolutely adore this show. I mean I first really started watching it a few years ago when Hallmark channel would aair like four episodes a day. Thats when I watched the majority of the series.

Of course before I could see the early seasons (I had started at the beginning of 4) I watched the anniversery special. This was how I found out about Luietenet Colonel Henry Blake's death :( So of course this made me eager to see the early episodes and very eager to see Abyssinia, Henry.

The last scene has remained hands down one of my favorite endings of any television show I have ever watched.

Of course this put me in the mood to watch some of the After Mash series that I have. Yet I need time to watch all that in one go and preferably be off work the next day. However I don't have that option until atleast next week and even that may be up for grabs.

In other news I finished rereading [info]miss_porcupine's Qui Habitat Universe. Something I have done before but never in one sitting. Surprisingly it is no longer kinda depressing (which I can argue it really isn't because I have a skewed sense of whatever in regards to what I see/hear/say), since a lot of it involves death, invasion and loss in our favorite Stargate Universe. No, today I just had the craving for more, more, more! I always do but the little voice in my head was more demanding this time around.

It left me also wanting to reread Orpheus but that is another thing all together mainly cause to me it is slightly more depressing (again in regeards to my skewed whatever) in a whole different way. But It is still a great story that I love to read, as all of her stuff is:) I do want to reread the rest of her stories as well but again, it's in the realm of I want more, more, more! That and I have read all of those so many times that I know them all by heart so sometimes it's not as amusing to reread some of them.

sgpr_fan: (Default)
So [ profile] ncis_shared has an April thing-a-thon centered around everyone's favorite (and sometimes hated) Anthony DiNozzo. Though I was always afraid to write NCIS, especially since I have been a fan less than a year (though have seen every ep, some more than once) Some of the prompts interests me. So I am going to try writing a some type of story in the seven days until the 29th end date of the thing-a-thon.

I have already started something but I have yet to work in the one prompt I am definitely going to use.

Wish me luck!!

Oh! In other news [ profile] serpentine85 , informed me about the [ profile] spandex_report , which I knew of (in the sense that I vaguely recall having seen/heard of it somewhere) but had never read. Now I find that I not only want to send them links so my stories can be featured (shameless, I know) But I now have a place to look for brand new fic!

sgpr_fan: (Default)

So I just spent the last half hour writing up a page long outline for chapter 8. These are things that are definitely going to be in the chapter and just from that I can tell you it will more than likely be the longest chapter to date. It may take me a little while to write it up because there are somevery important parts in it that I would like to be as perfect as posible before it gets betaed.

Though I am hoping to aim at having an update every two weeks, so if all goes well-Twice a month.

This may be staggered-some time this week I am heading to my cousins to say goodbye to their 17 year old dog, something I am dreading.

sgpr_fan: (Chad&Chloe)
So when my dad got home today he took me and Scruffy to the bank to deposit my two checks and for me to get money out. When we finished with that he took me to Best Buy where I bought Season 4 of Grey's Anatomy (I was going to buy the first too but they were out). I still haven't finished 3 but thats besides the point.

I also bought Keith Urban's Defying Gravity and Brad Paisley's Play (which I am kinda regretting since even though I love the guy there are only like 5 songs out of 16 that have lyrics...)

I am listening to Keith's right now, but I am also bored.

I think I am going to reread [ profile] starandrea 's JF fic than her RPM stuff (all the while fighting the urge to rewatch the last 6 episodes) I am more than likely going to that on Monday when I don't have to work.

On that note I am going to work tomorrow but considering I still feel like crap I may have to leave early.

The stuff my mom ordered for Scruffy came today. She got him a stuffed (musical) violin, that actually has cool music. He hasn't yet figured out how to work it but I am waiting to be woken up in the middle of the night by it. She also ordered him a red version of the blue sqeajy ball that he has. I loved this cause instead of red a green one came! She also ordered a retractable leash, which I didn't want in the first place but my dad did. However, she bought a nice, expensive one, that actually seems you know worth the price. She bought the one for dogs up to 110 pounds (Scruffy's like 54) but it doesn;t just have the 'string' leash, the actual line is about an inch thich and it seems to be made of strong material. It also came with a safety collar so to speak, something that you can hook on to the leash like a second collar (along with the original) if something were to happen to the orignal. It's a Flexi product so at this point its something I am comfortable to try and use. The only problem will be getting my dad to use it properly.

*I need a Scruffy icon ♥

Fic Update:

So chapter 7 of Standing Ground is finally finished. ChildofDarkness1988 is betaing it for me and then I will probably give it to Dark Knight, handle Knightwood over at PRUnited for another beta before I post it over there.
sgpr_fan: (Owen/Christina)

So I am still working on Standing Ground. I have scrapped svereal versions of Chapter 7 because I didn't like how they turned out. But the one I am writing now will be the last and I will post it no matter how much I may not like it.

I am off work wednesday and Thursday and will aim to have the final draft of chapter 7 out by thursday night. It may not be 2000 words but...I am sorry for the wait.

Also the whole me being shocked and depressed over something that happend over at PRUnited was an ingenious April Fool's joke played on the members by the Admins.
sgpr_fan: (RJ/Casey)

General Disclaimer: I do not own RPM or Ziggy though it would be nice if I did.

AN: I am working on Chapter 7 of Standing Ground. I promise. I was in fact working on that when this Ziggy piece would not leave my mind so…

I would like to write more RPM but I need a bit more of a feel for the characters. Plus I don’t want to leave the JF story hanging.

I am also kinda depressed and still in shock over what has happened over at PRUnited.

sgpr_fan: (Default)
I am still working on Standing Ground chapter 7. I am having more troble than I thought because my muse keeps jumping ahead to what I want to happen without any build up to it. So suffice it to say that I want build up and I am arguing with my muse (read: myself) to get the chapter right before I post. Hopefully I will have something by tomorrow night.
sgpr_fan: (RJ/Casey)

General Disclaimer: I do not own Lily or Theo or Fran….Nor I own anything else related to Jungle fury.

AN: So I made a resolution-Every chapter from now on will be longer than the last. I will try to uphold this to the best of my abilities unless a chapter meets a natural endpoint and I can find no way to justifiably extend it. This means in the end, that you all can look forward to a chapter that has more than 2,021 words and is more than five pages.

Previous Parts: One Two Three Four Five

“Seven years, Dom.” RJ abruptly said after several moments of silence. )
sgpr_fan: (RJ/Casey)

General Disclaimer: No I don’t own RJ or Casey or Dom. Dang.

AN: So who else saw PR: RPM? It was epic, one of the better premieres in my opinion.

Hello to you to dad,” RJ blithely answered, “Nice of you to drop bye,” he continued sarcastically. )
sgpr_fan: (RJ/Casey)

General Disclaimer: No I don’t own Jungle Fury. Stop asking.

AN: So as you may have noticed, this story finally has a title! Thanks to ChildofDarkness1988 over at FF.Net, it is now called Standing Ground.

Sorry this took so long, I got side tracked reading Of Love and Bunnies by CrazyGirl47 again over at FF.Net. *NEVER* Read any of that story after midnight!

‘That’s it’. Lily’s head snapped up as an expression similar to that of a person who’s suddenly had an epiphany flashed over her face. )
sgpr_fan: (RJ/Casey)

My aunt had a heart attack this morning (she’s fine), and I have to work over 20 hours the next 2 days but I wanted to get something out now in case I am not able to for a few days.

Despite the last few months his relationship with his father was not in any way in his mind classified as ‘okay’ )
