Work, Cats and everything in between....

So I had my first solid off day from work in weeks. I get Thursday off too which is great. I have been filling in so much for the past 6 weeks, that it has been a really good respite. We had 130 adoption during the adopt a thon. Including Montana and Goldre which I am totally delighted about. We had 1 dog get returned on Tuesday. Hopefully there won't be many more. Miles was going to go but it fell through.

I went to Harmony House for the first time in over a month. It was great so relaxing. Burtona, one of the cats, had to be put down cause she had lost so much weight and they couldn't get her stable enough for a feeding tube. She was a sweet heart. We have some kittens to which are cute but a little shy.

I started rereading all my Narnia fics I have saved over at FF.net. I am really longing for a nice long fic about the 4 pevensies, wether it's them staying in Narnia after Caspian or one set in The Golden Ages. Any recomendations?

So I get to sleep in some more tomorrow or should I say today since it's like 1:30.

So was anyone really surprised by Governor Rod's arrest? I mean in the beginning he did good but recently?

Doh!!!

That's what I forgot to do today. I wanted to check OnDemand to see if they have Tuesday's NCIS up. Since there were no previews I don't know if it was new or not but I would also watch any rerun so...guess that's what I'm doing tomorrow...or later today...

fic and t.v....what more could I want.

So starandrea posted a hilarious Jungle Fury/Twilight/AU fusion story called Mental Sparkles and a Dog Named Wolf. It actually seems to be pretty good, which I didn't doubt because she is such a great writer but I wasn't sure I would like it. But it turns out I did. A lot.

Also it amuses me that Casey is the bad guy in it. I can picture other rangers being bad, it's actually really easy to picture Red Ranger's as bad, even Evil but it's hard for me to imagine Casey as being evil.

So NCIS was a rerun on Tuesday. But since I haven't seen any of season 5, save for the first episode, I am going to watch this Jimmy Palmer centric one. It gives me something to do since all my shows save for ER are reruns, so I have nothing to watch until 9. and the fact that Private Practice is moving to Thursday's after Grey's? So not cool. However I will continue to watch ER because it continues to hold my interest longer than Private Practice. That and it's the last season and I want to actually know what is going on when I am watching the last episode.

LJ layout...

Is anyone else having problems with theri LJ. Specifically with their journal being all extended sideways? As in I now need a scroll bar (side to side) to view all my entries, and even then they still get cut off.

My friends page is fine and my journal was fine a week ago but now its doing this and I have no idea how to fix it. Help?

ETA: And when I go to the previous entries on my journal everything is okay. What the heck?

Can I just say that this, shows how badly some movies get short sided by critics. I mean Tropic Thunder of all movies getting a nomination? Even if it's for Cruise which I think is one of the stupidest things ever. Who the hell makes these decisions?

I mean everyone knew Heath Ledger would get a nom but nothing for the rest of the categories? I mean, Myley Cyrus getting a nom for best song, don't get me wrong I like her just fine but come on
