PR Fic: Puppy Pile....

Note: Written for starandrea 's puppy pile matching meme. My second ever PR fic so....

Cam made the trip down into Ninja ops, head down, buried in his laptop. He had made this journey so many times he could make it blindfolded, evident by the fact that despite Cam’s perceived lack of attention, he did not trip or hesitate. Everything was normal, finally after everything Cam had been able to relax even though he never truly let his guard down.

Which is why, thirty seconds after entering Ops Cam’s head shot up in alarm. Then he stood frozen, for the first time in month’s actual surprise radiating from his body.

“What are you doing?” Cam wondered.

The main floor next to his computer console was covered in sleeping bags, blankets, pillows and other objects that Cam never associated with Ops and never wanted to. Of course somewhere in that gigantic pile he could see parts of his friends, but not whole bodies.

‘You’d think that they would try being normal after everything we have gone through, but no. Now I have to deal with the team bonding.’ Cam shuddered at the thought.

“Hey Cam.”

“Dude! What’s up?

Simultaneous responses from Shane and Dustin, along with a “Join us,” From Hunter of all people.

“Yes because I really want to bury myself in a pile of blankets when it’s already sweltering in here.” Cam dryly told the talking pile. Even as he got his first good look at their positions.

Tori was in the middle, Blake on her right, her head on his chest. Hunter was next to his brother; while Dustin had his head on Tori’s stomach and Shane had his feet on Dustin’s waist.

Tori looked up at Cam and smiled, “Sensei told us to meditate, to help calm us, and we figured we’d be comfortable in the mean time.”

“So you take over the one place that is needed in case of emergencies?” Cam retorted.

Blake snorted, “What emergencies Cam?” He ignored the answering glare and continued, “Sensei’s right we need to relax. So come on.”

Eyebrows shot up in question.

Hunter snorted, and the next thing Cam knew he was on the ground. Hunter had pulled him down, in doing so unceremoniously crushing Blake and Tori in the process.

Shouts of,

“Hey!”

“Hunter!”

Engulfed Ninja Ops.

Cam tried to leave, but Tori pulled him back, “Come on, Cam. Sensei’s orders. She pulled him back down and settled her head once more on Blake’s chest..

“Fine, twenty minutes that’s it. I have work to do,” Cam said even as he made himself comfortable within the pile, between Hunter and Dustin.

“Twenty minutes, Cam. Promise.”  Shane said dryly.

Sensei walked in ten minutes later, and smiled in satisfaction.

The rangers had assorted themselves in a circle. All their heads pointing inward, even as their bodies touched one another, side to side, arm to arm.

And all six were fast asleep. He nodded. His mission was complete.

OHH! ::laughs:: I'm the most absent-minded person ever! Now I remember you saying, with the accidental comment deletion and ::relief:: Whew. I totally thought I dropped the ball on that one ::grin:: Let me just say again, then, that I am completely impressed by the Rangers' ability to cleverly intuit the difference between supervised training exercises and unsupervised ones ♥ And Sensei's ability to walk in at the end and be like, "Aha. Just as I had planned..." ::giggle::

*nods* I was basically making this up as I went along so...when I got to the end it just seemed like something Sensei would do. You know as a human cause the guinea pig sensei would probably jump on their heads and wake them up. *laughs at image*

Very nice. I can totally seeing the NS Rangers deciding to meditate in the form of a giant sleep-over.
