I have somewhat depressed since watching This Mortal Coil Atlantis's mid season finale. I guess I was always hoping that they would get Elizabeth back that they would rescue her and all would be well. Now the fact that the TPTB have left apparently no loop hole- Elizabeth is officially dead. I mean I can hope that the info that the replicator Keller got was wrong and it is just a rouse but I am not holding my breath. 

Plus what is it with Sam not being in it huh. She hasn't been in an episode in like 2-3 weeks. I get that she is new and most would prefer her gone but how the hell are we suppose to get use to her in Atlantis if she is never on Atlantis?

I liked how the ep wasn't a traditional cliff hangar either it seemed like TPTB decided we had already had enough shocks and hurt with the news that Elizabeth won't ever be coming home that not being on  for a month with Atlantis in mortal danger may not be the best move for our sanity what ever is left of it.

To top it all off because of the writers trike I officially have no more shows to watch-the only saving grace is that apparently the shows that have episodes left are going away for their winter break and not for the season. That and I have been watching Robin Hood on YouTube so that is taking up some of my time along with my new King Arthur  (the movie not the legend) obsession.

Well, even among the show writers there's different feelings of whether Elizabeth is really dead or not. She's supposed to return at least once more this season, but I have no hope of her being seen in S5.

AT was contracted for 14 eps in total. Joe M said that if they used her in this ep it would have only been one scene (John giving her the rundown before going on the mission in RealAtlantis) so that would have been a waste of one of her 14 eps because she technically can't exist on RepliAtlantis--Elizabeth wouldn't have known who her successor was and everything from Lifeline onward was not the same on RepliAtlantis as it was on RealAtlantis.

oh I thought AT was contracted for 16 episodes so I didn't understand why she hasn't been in many of the recent ones lately. I get her not being in Mortal Coil cause it would have ruined the whole reunion aspect of it in my opinion.

really? It seemed from interviews (this may all be from my head) that they wanted her gone so I guess I just equaled that to being dead and the show kinda supported that

And I often got the impression that, like Rainbow, there were personality conflicts with Torri...but they keep leaving the door open for "anything to happen." Which is also how we get a few long-gone people coming back for this season :P
